AFTER HOURS
After Hours have been
a mainstay of the South Wales gigging scene for longer than any of
them would care to remember, even if they could. The band has always
revolved around core members Scott and Cel Morgan (bass/vox and
drums)
In 1997 the band
comprised Scott and Cel (with a hard "C") plus Steve Martin on
guitar and Howard "H" Drennan on vocals and guitar. "H" moved to lovely Hull
and was replaced by DH on guitar. Various singers were tried but
eventually Scott reluctantly accepted his destiny behind the mic.
After Steve's departure, the band ploughed on as a three-piece and
even operated as a duo for a while as Cel was otherwise engaged
trying to get his profits up and his handicap down.
In 2003 the band was
augmented by "Howling" Ken Wood on guitar and vocals. Even though DH
is London-based the band still turns out several times a year,
including the annual invitiation-only Moulton Rocks mini-fest.
